Booting “Beacon” up for the first time, then I’m out of here…so far so good.
For my final action in the office for today, I’m Installing Red Hat Enterprise Linux on a mammoth machine. Changing discs FTL!
Note to self: Disable eth1-eth3 tomorrow.
…and those packages? Packages for configuring an ISDN subsystem. Hahahahahaha. WASTE. There will be so much uninstallation after this.
Love it. Mounting a virtual disc for THREE PACKAGES. Wow, way to go, RHEL(L).
Curious to see what my deposit will look like, whether they’ll give me the full cash or not. If it’s the full amount, then new TV soon! :-)
Basic configuration done, outta here. Looks like I’m playing tennis in a little while — hopefully the rain holds off.
The webcam we’re testing at work is friggin’ amazing. We’ve been playing with the motion detection. Got 40 messages with 5 photos each!
Caught the bus JUST in time!
Folks on Comcast in #CHS should notice that The Weather Channel now shows conditions for S’ville and Sullivan’s in the lower display line.
I know that the aluminum Apple keyboards are fairly unpopular, but I absolutely fly on this thing. Short-travel keyboards and I get along.
Amazing. I think I’m getting my deposit back. Got a call from my landlord ‘cause they lost my forwarding address. Haha.
Considering adding FriendFeed comments to my blog. Good idea?
ROC for iLO. Freaking amazing.
Forgot to marinate something again this morning. Whoops.
You can tell a FriendFeed user by how they start talking to themselves all the time, thanks to the totally unclear @ reply mechanism.
Waiting on Tom to finish with his great e-mail question so he and I can hit up some lunch.
Song of the moment: “I Know Somethin’ (‘Bout You)” by Alice in Chains.
Sweet! Webcam stuff!
Starting ROC for lunch.
Back at it, though I’m in need of a caffeine-based boost.
Mighty Mouse fail: Won’t scroll down. Ahh, the beauty of trackballs…</sarcasm.
In a “cleaning up dead accounts” mood.
The Web’s relationship with newspapers →
This is lazy of me, but I want to know from you: What relationship do you think newspapers and other reporting outlets have with the Web? My thoughts are forthcoming, but I’m interested in what YOU…
Back at the bus stop. Clouds look really cool this morning. They’re hauling across the sky. Starting the day with some Pearl Jam.
Enroute to the job. I don’t really understand why some of the drivers decide to encircle the entire freaking mall before departing…
Been using the web for Twitter these days, thus checking it less frequently. API is still largely useless.
New blog post: The Web’s relationship with newspapers http://tinyurl.com/5zx2le
Wow, my blog post is such a cop-out. Oh well. Trying to resume a normal schedule now that things have started to calm down.
Oh, and I completely failed at blogging this weekend. Whoops.
Short weeks = cramming five days into four. :P
ROC for shutdown this time, foh’ realz y’all.
Nothing like webserver log forensics to close a weekend out…sigh
Starting ROC for shutdown. Good weekend, and good movie.
Going to see Get Smart with @juliemcann.
Watching The Naked Gun. Hilarious.
Fail. Lightning strike took the network out here for a time, and I missed the tornado warning and everything else. Not cool.
Pre-storm shower…
The sky just looks disturbed right now…
Raining here now. And why in the bloody hell are the TBS announcers talking about a no-no in the THIRD INNING?!? Quiet!!!
Thunder in the distance…
Every airplane disaster movie manages to have a doctor on board. How convenient.
So who’s bright idea was it for me to set my ALARM CLOCK for today?!?
Might actually blog today. Those ideas that are festering in my head are coming to the surface in semi-coherent forms, and that’s all I need
Well, since I’m wide awake, I guess that means ROC for some sort of breakfast. Word!
Home. Fun night; ran into people I didn’t expect to. Starting ROC for sleep and yet another day…
Citizen journalism FTW!
Yo
Thunder, start ROC for Mad River.
The DataOutages mailing list is reporting some troubles at RIM right now with the BlackBerry infrastructure. Mine works, though…
