March 2008
Half price wings at Kickin’ Chicken downtown. Taking in a little Opening Day.
How in this day and age does anybody hire a communications person who doesn’t know Web?
Second half of the day is here. Checking VM, doing a little maintenance in places, and who knows what else.
Got rained on coming in for my test this morning. Psychotic.
Charleston Day 1 Convective Outlook: General Thunderstorms.
LOL. Glad I stepped out of the office to talk to @_theduke when Nickelback played on Pandora.
Inspecting suspicious packets this morning. Nice change of pace.
Bandwidth to the house is pretty terrible right now.
BlackBerry can mark an e-mail I replied to from the phone as replied in Outlook. Entourage cannot keep this in sync. What’s the problem MS?
I can’t wait for the content management system to be launched to the campus at large.
I’m so happy that baseball’s back.
Staying up late tomorrow night to catch the Padres’ opener against the Astros.
Nothing like Gran Turismo music while waiting in a drive-thru. Frustrating. I want to scorch concrete to this.
Standing by for tacos. Six for $3 and change - tough to beat.
I actually have a new design prototyped but it needs several rounds of revision before it hits live.
My friend Heather recently reformatted her life. She moved back home, got an apt, got a job, and is out on her own doing whatever.
Like, for example, I’ve gone through a lot of “phases.” The hardcore programmer phase, the graphic designer phase, the journalist phase.
In reality, I was antsy to replace this design about six months in with something more elastic and lightweight.
So far as I remain in my youth (read: no wife/kids or obligations other than myself) I’ve found mini-reinvention has been invigorating.
Naturally, I think that I will probably get antsy to redesign pretty soon…because that’s just how I roll.
Wow, rain all week? Serious thunder-mega-bummer!
Today’s high temperature was set at midnight. Impressive.
RO…oh, you know the drill by now. Good night folks.
Just realized that it’ll be one year for my current design on April 1. No foolin’.
However, I’m eagerly anticipating the day when I take those phases and really begin to kick into gear with them.
Okay, for real this time: Shutting down for bed. Test in the AM.
I’m beginning to do a little of that now, but I still feel inhibited. I’ve yet to “bloom” so to speak. And yes, this should be blog fodder
Going to CofC ballgame for class.
This printer is going to shake my desk apart, I think.
Ugh. 50s. Hate it.
I’m home. Coughing a bit, shutting down for the night (morning) to wake up in six hours
Hell hath frozen over…@Torresa has joined Twitter.
Apparently a girl at the party liked me tonight. I didn’t see it. My heart is so shields-up it’s become completely prohibitive.
I think that I have no choice but to move from here if I am going to have a chance to grow as a person. It’s beginning to be pretty clear.
Reading the “WX Line” forum at MediaLine. Fascinating stuff!
Who should be the 150th person I follow?
Uploading WordPress 2.5 to development instance now. Considering reintroducing source control for my themes.
Completed database backup. Getting site structure backed up real quick. Deploying that over to my test installation, which will get 2.5.
A WordPress 2.5 installation is incredibly tempting right now…
I need to shut this Fuel off and listen to something else. My last.fm stats this week will be hilariously tilted toward Fuel.
I need to move to a place where I can accurately sample the winds. Downtown is just too hard without having access to a tall roof.
The storm cells, at least down this way, seem to move slowly and rain themselves out. So, if you’re under one, you’ll be there for a bit.
Wow, some surprisingly high winds out ahead of the front!
OOOH! Burn! Jon Baker just got the “my ex-husband is coming back to me” line from the girl he was dating.
This is so wrong on so many levels. I don’t know where to begin. http://is.gd/3d8
Sweet! Two hours later, a NEW AD!
Clearly, the lack of ad rotation is a tactic to get me to buy the DVDs.
Is CHiPs on DVD? I need to research this. It’d be worth buying. It was yet another one of those great shows I watched growing up.
This is in reference to my supercell video. The guy doesn’t realize that it doesn’t normally rain to the tune of two thirds of an inch/hour!
Entire house is at Carolina Cup. I’m here looking for statistics to refute the guy on YouTube who says “he takes stronger showers”.
